Connecticut announces $260,000 for higher ed tech projects

Connecticut announced grants for seven technology education projects that build communication between higher ed institutions and industry. The state's public higher education system received $80,000 for a program where faculty collaborate with regional business groups to design digital skills programs. Emily Bamforth reports.

Russian hacking unit adds Google Drive to its arsenal, researchers say

Russian hacking unit Cozy Bear, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) hacking unit, has been using Google Drive and Dropbox to deliver threats, according to Palo Alto's Unit 42 research team. The hacking unit, also known as APT29, was blamed by the U.S. government for the SolarWinds hack. Drive is one of the tools included in Google's Workplace for Education Fundamentals suite.
