Ransomware attacks against schools are surging, researchers find

With 10 reported ransomware incidents at educational institutions in the last nine days alone, the number of cyberattacks on academia continues to climb, according to a new report from Armor. The cloud security company found nearly 50 educational institutions — including school districts, community colleges and universities — have publicly reported bouts with ransomware this year alone.
