California's community colleges are using virtual science labs for distance learning

California Community Colleges have partnered with Labster, an edtech company which develops interactive lab simulations, to offer more than 2 million students access to more than 130 virtual labs in biology, chemistry, physics and general sciences. Lab work allows students to apply learned knowledge in controlled scenarios, something that has been a challenge as schools have cancelled in-person instruction as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
