The University of Kentucky has published policies governing the use of generative artificial intelligence for research purposes.

Officials said malicious actors may have targeted a program called "Digital Driver's License" that actually has nothing to do with government-issued IDs.

A spokesperson said leaving a spreadsheet with personal information accessible to those outside the university's contact tracing team was a "regrettable error."
