Air Panther Student-Led Network Innovation

University Technology Innovation of the Year

The Center for Information Technology Excellence department at Prairie View A&M University embarked upon a Network Operations Center Summer Internship with four students in engineering and computer Science. Through classroom training, hands-on labs, and study sessions the students learned networking protocols and technologies to install, configure, deploy, and manage a modern networking experience for the PVAMU Northwest Center campus. Through their efforts the students improved network capacity and speed across the campus 1000%. The students led by campus staff was able to successfully contribute to the university and learn invaluable workforce skills.
