Stacey Napier, former director of information resources for the state of Texas, will assume a vice chancellorship at the University of Texas.
The former director of information resources for the state of Texas, Stacey Napier, begins her new role with the University of Texas System on Friday.
Napier’s new role — vice chancellor of government relations for the UT system — will come “at a time when higher education in Texas has never been more important,” UT Chancellor James B. Milliken said in a statement. She has a wealth of experience in state government to serve her in the new role, including two years as DIR and more than 10 within the office of the state attorney general.
As DIR, Napier was in charge of 200 employees providing technological resources and leadership to local and state government organizations.
