The University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education has named 16 edtech companies to its latest accelerator cohort, a group that includes the Rainbow Chefs Academy and General Genomics.

Mark DeGennaro, managing director of the university’s Edtech Accelerator said in a press release Friday that he was “thrilled” to help the companies “accelerate the growth of their businesses and continue to meaningfully impact learning outcomes.”

The USC accelerator, which started in 2018, is conducted entirely online. According to the release, the university does not take equity stakes in the companies it helps, instead opting to advise for the benefit of new learning technologies.

“We are very excited to welcome these innovators to the USC Rossier family and to help support their work to promote educational excellence and equity,” USC Rossier Dean Pedro Noguera said in the release. “This is important work, and USC is proud to champion it.”
