TikTok is launching a new feature that is designed to allow college students to connect with one another more easily on campus.

According to a report from TechCrunch, users can login to the social media platform, select their profiles and add their school and graduation year. By supplying a university email address, users can then browse to their school’s page and view other users who are graduating at their institution on the same year.

The feature is reportedly available to more than 6,000 institutions through a partnership between TikTok and Unidays, a platform that provides discounts on products and helps verify student statuses.

According to TikTok, the new feature is part of its goal to turn its platform into a way to facilitate real-world connections. TechCrunch notes that the new feature could come with privacy concerns as young adults put more information online to a wide audience of users.
